Tbilisi calls out Vilnius for overstepping diplomatic boundaries

The Georgian Foreign Ministry has summoned the Lithuanian Ambassador in Tbilisi, Andrius Kalindra, to express its displeasure over what it termed as ‘gross interference’ by Vilnius in the country’s internal matters, Report informs referring to TASS.

According to the press service of the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the Georgian side explained to the ambassador that the recent statements made by Lithuanian officials, as well as the participation of the head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, Gabrielius Landsbergis, in protests in Tbilisi, and the summoning of the Georgian ambassador to the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry due to the adoption of the transparency law, constitute a blatant interference in the internal affairs of the country.

The ministry emphasized that such actions do not align with the traditionally friendly and partnership-based relations between the two states.
