MP: Trump's position Ukraine negotiations are now completely clear

For Kyiv, Donald Trump's position and intentions in the negotiations regarding Ukraine are now completely clear, Yuriy Kamelchuk, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the ruling Servant of the People party, told Report.

"Trump initially tried to reach an agreement with Russia. Because in the geopolitical context, it is impossible not to take into account Russia's relations with China, North Korea and Iran. Trump, attempting to reach an agreement with Iran through Russia, gave the Kremlin such a chance through Ukraine. In the absence of results, his subsequent actions reveal a position of consistent struggle against Russia. For example, he increases sanctions. We see the beginning of a tariff war, which has already caused panic in the markets. It also led to a drop in the price of Russian oil. Let me remind you that the fall in oil prices in the Soviet Union was once the main reason for the collapse of the old Soviet imperial system. Donald Trump has set a deadline for Russia. And I hope that this will not take more than a few weeks. We will see more decisive actions from Trump," Kamelchuk said.
