Lithuanians urged to invest in tanks

Lithuanian Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrine Armonaitė called on the country's citizens to invest in the production of tanks, Report informs via LRT.
“There are ways, for example, to borrow money from the population. I have heard criticism of such ideas with bonds, but citizens still have a lot of money left. Maybe it’s better to keep them not in socks, but to put them in tanks,” said the minister.
Earlier, the commander of the Lithuanian army, General Valdemaras Rupšis, stated that the capacity of the Western military industry needs to be restored to Cold War levels due to changes in the geopolitical situation.
