Voluntary insurance market grows by 28% in Azerbaijan

In January-April this year, the premiums from the voluntary insurance types stood at 341.854 million manats ($201.09 million), up 27.7% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
During the reporting period, the payments on these types of insurance amounted to 102.502 million manats ($60.30 million), up 64.4% from a year earlier.
Thus, in the reporting period, 30 manats ($17.65) were paid for every 100 manats ($58.82) of insurance premiums collected on the voluntary insurance types. This figure was 23.3 manats ($13.71) in the same period last year.
