"From Glasgow to Sharm El-Sheikh, from Dubai to Baku, each of our steps adds an important layer that strengthens the foundation of global climate resilience. The Baku Harmoniya Climate Initiative is not just an agenda; it is our shared promise to harmonize our efforts for sustainable agri-food systems," Mammadov noted.
The minister also stated that the initiative aims to transform the opportunity for cooperation into a lasting legacy.
According to him, global initiatives such as the Food and Agriculture for Sustainable Transformation (FAST) Partnership have already been integrated into the Baku Harmoniya Climate Initiative: "The Initiative is fully aligned with the objectives defined in the UAE Declaration and is implemented through the Technical Cooperation Initiative. The main goal is to strengthen existing capabilities and participants in the agri-food sector."
The minister emphasized that the Initiative supports funding and investments, highlighting farmers as key agents for change. He noted that the main theme of the event was "Legacies from COP to COP" and stated: "We are creating a legacy of agri-food sustainability, smarter and stronger climate-resilient food systems. When sharing lessons from one COP to the next, we are not just fulfilling formal processes, but rather planting seeds for the future."
