Travel Tomorrow: Azerbaijani cuisine – a rich variety of traditional dishes

The European Union's well-known travel publication Travel Tomorrow has prepared a feature article about Azerbaijan's national cuisine.

According to Report, the article’s author shares impressions from a visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, with a special focus on local dishes and agricultural products.

The article highlights that Azerbaijani cuisine offers a rich variety of traditional dishes made from fresh local ingredients.

The author specifically mentions the traditional dish dolma, the "Albalı" salad—a combination of cherries, tomatoes, red onions, and basil—alongside the refreshing drink ayran, Ordubad-style scrambled eggs, and tea served with jam.

It is also noted that Azerbaijan’s unique tea culture was inscribed in UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2022.
