OIC official: Halal business market creates great opportunities for CIS region

The halal business market creates great opportunities for economic development in the CIS region, Azer Bayramov, Director General of the OIC Labor Center, said at the Halal Business and Tourism Forum (AZHAB Forum) held in Baku Report informs.

"The global halal business market has developed significantly, covering not only food production but also sectors such as tourism, finance, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. This comprehensive approach creates great opportunities for innovation and economic development, especially in the CIS region. Today's event will play a decisive role in shaping a thriving halal ecosystem that aligns with both our cultural values and modern economic demands," Bayramov noted.

According to the director general of the OIC Labor Center, the halal industry provides a platform not only for economic opportunities but also for ethical business practices, especially in regions like the CIS: "The halal economy requires a skilled, adaptable, diverse workforce that can meet the needs of a growing market. In this sense, the OIC Labor Center works closely with businessmen, educational institutions, and governments to address labor and social challenges specific to industries such as halal food production, halal tourism, and Islamic finance sectors, which are crucial for the development of a strong halal ecosystem in the CIS region."
