ECO secretary general: 'This year, we will hold trainings in member countries to increase tourism potential'

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) will work towards the diversification of tourism activities in the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and increasing the potential through the exchange of experience and training this year, Secretary General of the organization Khusrav Noziri said at the 1st ECO Tour Operators Forum held in Baku Thursday, Report informs.

He noted that the main objectives for the development of tourism among the ECO member countries include the promotion of regional destinations: "The Economic Cooperation Organization aims to stimulate economic activity in the member countries through various sectors such as transport, trade, agriculture, energy and tourism. We have great tourism potential thanks to the region's rich cultural and natural resources."

Noziri added that the vision of the ECO for 2025 emphasizes the importance of the tourism sector and aims to use its economic benefits by strengthening the potential and cooperation of the member countries.
