Employment contract in force for over 3 years proposed to be considered indefinite in Azerbaijan

An employment contract extended for more than three years in a row can be considered indefinite in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Such a proposal is reflected in the report of the Commissioner for Human Rights for 2023.

In particular, it is proposed to amend Article 45 of the Labor Code of the Azerbaijan Republic, which states that a fixed-term employment contract extended continuously for more than five years is considered indefinite.
