Azerbaijani envoy, Jerusalem Patriarch explore collaboration

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Israel, Mukhtar Mammadov, held a meeting with His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus III (Giannopoulos) of Jerusalem, to discuss the prospects of mutual cooperation between the diplomatic mission and the patriarchate, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tel Aviv.

“Today [November 6] Ambassador Mammadov Mukhtar and the Patriarch of Jerusalem His Beatitude Theophilos III held a meeting. They discussed mutual respect and harmonious coextistence of all religious communities in Azerbaijan, as well as mutual cooperation prospects between the Embassy and Patriarchy,” the embassy wrote on X.
