US, Armenian officials discuss South Caucasus

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Joshua Huck, Report informs with reference to Armenian media.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation in the South Caucasus region.
Mirzoyan emphasized that today there is a real opportunity to establish lasting peace in the region, and the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be an important historical milestone.
The officials also exchanged views on ongoing efforts to promote the peace agenda.
In addition, ways to expand bilateral cooperation between Armenia and the United States were discussed.
