Ukraine to begin production of NATO-standard 155 mm artillery shells

Ukrainian industry will expand the production of NATO-standard 155-mm artillery shells by the end of 2023, Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries, voiced in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Report informs.
According to the Minister, in July 2023, Ukraine produced more than twice as much mortar and artillery ammunition as in the whole of 2022. However, he acknowledged that it would be years before Ukraine could produce enough ammunition to meet its current needs.
