Two police officers killed in armed attack in Iran's Sistan province

Two police officers were killed and one injured in an armed attack on a police vehicle on the Hash–Zahedan highway in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province, the Information Center of the Sistan and Baluchestan Police Department said, Report informs via Aftabnews.

The incident occurred in the Sib and Soran districts of the province.

Preliminary reports indicate that the attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen. Following the incident, an operation was launched to identify and pursue the attackers.

Sib and Soran districts are located in the southeastern part of the province, approximately 400 kilometers from the provincial capital, Zahedan.
