Türkiye expects signing of Baku-Yerevan peace treaty in 1H26

Türkiye expects the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the first half of next year, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a conference at the Institute of International Relations in Rome, where current international events were discussed, Report informs via Anadolu Agency.

The head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and US President Donald Trump for initialing the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington.

According to Fidan, Türkiye expects the final peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia to be signed in the first half of next year.

"As soon as the agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is finally concluded, we will quickly normalize relations with Armenia," the minister stressed.
