Parents of soldiers killed in fire again hold protest rally in Yerevan

Relatives and friends of soldiers who died in a fire at barracks in the village of Azat, Gegharkunik province, are holding a protest on Republic Square in Yerevan, Report informs via Armenian media.

They demand an objective investigation into the incident from the Armenian authorities.

“We don’t believe the official version of what happened. If they don’t resolve this issue, we will take other measures,” said a relative of one of the dead servicemen.

According to him, law enforcement officers are pursuing the case within the framework of the version approved by the authorities; no real investigation is being carried out.

The man does not rule out that their children were killed by external forces, and this may be the main obstacle to a comprehensive study of the case.
