Meeting of secretaries of Central Asian and Russian security councils kicks in Almaty

The first meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of Central Asia and Russia started in Almaty.

Report informs via Sputnik-Tajikistan that the main topics of discussion will be issues of ensuring the security of the Central Asian region and the Russian Federation in modern conditions.

The Russian side is represented by Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev, who took part in bilateral consultations between Russia and Kazakhstan.

The parties discussed issues of interaction between the two countries in the field of countering terrorism and religious extremism in Central Asia. The consultations were attended by experts from the apparatus of security councils, as well as representatives of a number of ministries and departments of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan.
