Iran warns US of military response to any naval blockade

Iran has warned that its armed forces will respond militarily to any attempt by the United States to impose a naval blockade on the country, Iranian parliament member Ali Khazarian said, according to Fars agency cited by Report.

"From now on, any US action aimed at enforcing a naval blockade will be met with a military response from Iran," he said.

Khazarian also advised Washington to deploy additional escort ships to protect its destroyers and rescue their crews in the event they are sunk.
