Erdogan: Stronger Türkiye-EU relations needed today

The common interests of Türkiye and the EU should not become hostages to the unseemly plans of some member states of the community, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said following a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Report informs via Anadolu Agency.
"Today, more than ever, stronger and institutionalized relations between Türkiye and the EU are necessary. As a candidate country, Türkiye strives for this," he noted.
