Erdogan meets with Ukrainian delegation in Istanbul

The Ukrainian delegation coordinated positions with Turkish partners ahead of further negotiations in Istanbul.
As Report informs, this was announced by the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
On his Facebook page, Umerov wrote that together with the Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, they held an important meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"We are grateful to Türkiye and personally to President Erdogan for facilitating the negotiation process and Türkiye's active role in achieving a just and sustainable peace for Ukraine. Türkiye continues to play an important role in international efforts aimed at ending the war. We coordinated positions with Turkish partners ahead of further negotiations in Istanbul," Umerov noted.
He emphasized that Ukraine values the consistent political and security support from Türkiye, which has continued since 2014. The NSDC Secretary also emphasized that Ankara consistently advocates for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and reiterates states this at all international platforms.
"We also met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Senior Advisor to the President of Türkiye Akif Cagatay Kilic," he noted.
The parties also discussed the security situation and defense cooperation.
