Armenia opens criminal case over death of MP

A criminal case has been opened following the death of Mher Sahakyan, a 36-year-old MP from the Hayastan faction of the Armenian parliament, Report informs via Armenian media outlets.
According to the Armenian Investigative Committee, the case was opened under the article "Violation of traffic safety or violation of the rules for the operation of vehicles" (Article 342, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia).
On January 14, MP Mher Sahakyan died in a traffic accident. Preliminary information indicates that the Honda Accord he was driving went off the road and overturned into a ditch.
