60 people suspected of riots at Makhachkala airport detained

Over 150 active participants in the riots at the Makhachkala airport were identified, and 60 of them were detained, the General Administration of the Russian MIA for the North-Caucasian Federal District said, Report informs via Interfax.

“Violations of the law were prevented as a result of measures implemented by the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan together with other law enforcement agencies. Currently, the airport is completely under the control of law enforcement agencies,” reads the statement.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Dagestan reported that more than 20 people were injured in the incident at the Makhachkala airport.
