US to consider duties lowering for China — WSJ

The US administration is considering the possibility of lowering customs duties for goods from China as a step to soften tension with Beijing, The Wall Street Journal said, citing sources, Report informs.
Duties may probably be lowered by 50-65%. The US authorities are also considering a differentiated approach towards tariffs lowering. US President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision on this issue and discussions on implementation options for this step continue.
Total US duties for goods from China reach 145% at present. China increased duties on goods from the US to 125% as a tit-for-tat measure.
