Tornado in Texas leaves more than 160,000 residents without power

More than 160,000 residents were left without electricity as a result of a powerful tornado in the northern part of the US state of Texas, Report informs via The Washington Post.
The wind speed reached 35 meters per second. As a result of the tornado, dozens of power lines were broken and the infrastructure facilities of the city were damaged.
According to forecasts, adverse weather conditions in Texas will continue throughout the week, and the tornado may also spread to other states - Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee are at risk. In addition, strong winds and hail are expected in eastern Kentucky, West Virginia, western Maryland, eastern Ohio and southwestern New York.
