Putin submits bill to denounce Convention against Torture to State Duma

Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted a bill to the State Duma to denounce the European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, Report informs via TASS.
This document was adopted by members of the Council of Europe on November 26, 1987, Russia signed the convention in 1996, and it entered into force in the country two years later.
