First Vice President of Peru Dina Boluarte was sworn in as the head of state in the Congress which voted for the resignation of President Petro Castillo.
Report informs via TASS that the ceremony was aired on the parliament's Twitter page.
"I swear in the name of God, the motherland and all Peruvians that I will conscientiously fulfill the duties of President of the Republic, which I assume in accordance with the constitution of Peru, from now until July 26, 2026," she said.
