Pakistan shuts border with Iran amid Middle East escalation

Pakistan has completely closed its border with Iran for an indefinite period due to escalaton in the Middle East, particularly in light of recent Israeli military actions, Report informs via Pakistani media.
"The decision was made for security reasons due to the instability caused by Israeli attacks," unnamed officials said, as quoted by media. The 905-kilometer-long shared border began to see closures as early as Sunday, although the Taftan crossing in Balochistan’s Chagai district remained operational for a time.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar announced earlier that 450 Pakistani pilgrims had already been evacuated from Iran. He added that over 150 Pakistani students studying in Iran would also return via the Taftan checkpoint.
