OTS Sec.-Gen. welcomes UN General Assembly resolution on Palestine

Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev has welcomed the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution "Support for the New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State solution," Report informs.
As many as 142 member states voted in favor of the resolution.
"I also commend the recent steps taken to recognize Palestine, which brings the number of UN member states that have recognized Palestine to 157," he said.
He expressed hope for a swift end to the bloodshed in Gaza, the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, a strengthening of the ceasefire, and the resumption of negotiations.
