Monsoon floods and landslides kill 17 in northern India

Seventeen people have died and over 20 are missing in Uttarakhand state in northern India due to heavy monsoon rains and landslides over two days, Report informs via The New Indian Express.
The transportation infrastructure in Dehradun city has reportedly been damaged, and residential houses have been destroyed. Bridges over the Rispana and Bindal rivers were rendered unusable by severe flooding, complicating relief efforts.
Schools in the region have been temporarily closed, and government offices have suspended their activities.
