The US Senate will not consider a bill on new sanctions against Russia until at least July, Report informs via Semafor.
Ongoing military actions between Iran and Israel, along with a bill pushed by President Donald Trump's administration to reduce government spending, have pushed the sanctions issue down the Senate's agenda.
On June 16, during the G7 summit in Kananaskis, Canada, Trump stated that he does not want to tighten sanctions against Moscow, expressing hope for reaching agreements on Ukraine. He noted that anti-Russian sanctions are costing the West billions of dollars.
