US President-elect Donald Trump will not be able to resolve the conflict in Ukraine "neither in 24 hours, nor in 48 hours, nor in 72 hours," former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in an interview with Die Presse newspaper, Report informs.
According to Kuleba, Trump's victory in the presidential race means the same for Ukraine as for any other European country - a new reality that needs to be accepted and worked with. Although Trump's first statements and phone calls have made a lot of noise, these are just words for now.
"It's clear that there won't be a quick end to the war. It's simply impossible. Whatever plan Trump develops, it will have to face reality," said the Ukrainian diplomat.
Earlier, ahead of the opening ceremony of Notre-Dame Cathedral after restoration in the French capital, a trilateral meeting took place between French President Emmanuel Macron, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and future US leader Donald Trump.
Shortly after this, the Ukrainian leader published a post on social media expressing his desire to end the war in his country as quickly as possible.
