Israeli bombings kill at least 14 in southern Gaza

At least 14 Palestinians were killed in overnight Israeli attacks on southern Gaza’s Khan Younis and Rafah, Al Jazeera correspondents said, according to Report.

According to the information, Israeli warplanes launched a series of early morning airstrikes on Rafah and Khan Younis, targeting the southern part of Gaza. A residential building in Gaza City was also hit, resulting in its complete destruction and causing casualties among its residents.

On March 18, the Israeli military carried out intensive strikes across the enclave. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained the attacks by citing Hamas’s rejection of proposals mediated by international negotiators, including US presidential envoy Steven Witkoff. The Israeli government reiterated that its primary objective remains the release of all hostages.

In response, Hamas blamed Israel and the United States for the renewed violence, holding them accountable for the latest round of hostilities.
