Former President of Estonia, Arnold Ruutel, has passed away at the age of 97. Report informs via Postimees newspaper.
According to the newspaper, he died on the evening of December 31 in Tallinn. Although he was hospitalized in serious condition at the end of December, the cause of his death has not been disclosed.
Ruutel served as President of Estonia from 2001 to 2006.
