Floods claim 20 lives across California

The death toll from floods and storms in the state of California (USA) has reached 20, Report informs via Reuters.
The downpours that have hit the state since December 26 have killed at least 20 people and tens of thousands are still in the process of evacuating, Gov. Gavin Newsom said.
US President Joe Biden is reported to visit the state on January19 to meet with emergency responders to ascertain what additional federal support is needed to respond to the disaster.
