The European Union (EU) has warned the Iranian government about the inadmissibility of supplying Russia with weapons, including drones, to wage war against Ukraine, RBC Ukraine reported, citing the European Commission spokesperson Peter Stano's speech at the union's briefing in Brussels on October 24, Report informs.
Iran's foreign minister was informed about the warning during a telephone conversation.
According to the spokesperson, the EU has confirmed its clear position regarding the supply of any weapons to Russia, including drones: "The fact that any third country supplies Russia with weapons, be it UAVs or missiles, is unacceptable and contrary to international humanitarian law. Russia is using this weapon against the civilian population and civilian infrastructure facilities, which is a war crime under international law."
