EU adopts 19th sanctions package against Russia, tightens energy curbs

The 19th sanctions package against Russia, approved today by the European Commission, significantly strengthens restrictions in the energy and financial sectors, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told a press briefing, according to Report.
A key element of the package is a full ban on the import of Russian liquefied natural gas and enhanced restrictions on cryptocurrency transactions.
The new package also places special emphasis on mechanisms for utilizing frozen Russian assets.
