Erdogan: US has crucial role in achieving ceasefire in Gaza

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the US influence on Israel is crucial in the context of a possible 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Report informs.

"Thanks to the initiatives of US leader Donald Trump, the 60-day temporary ceasefire plan is in the spotlight. In this regard, US influence on Israel will be critically important," the Turkish president told journalists aboard his returning flight from Azerbaijan.

According to him, the ceasefire between Iran and Israel has also opened the door for a Gaza truce.
