Denmark to allocate $293M to strengthen Ukraine's air defense

The Danish government has informed the Council on Foreign Affairs, which includes representatives of parliamentary parties, about the 23rd military aid package for Ukraine, according to the kingdom's Ministry of Defense, Report informs via TASS.

"Some 2.1 billion kroner ($293 million) will go towards strengthening Ukraine's air defense capabilities and combat aviation," reads the statement.

Ukrainian air defense will be strengthened with the help of 'Denmark's international partners.'

Additionally, the aid package includes funds for 'the operation of Ukrainian F-16s.'

Also, in cooperation with Sweden, Denmark will transfer several CV90 infantry fighting vehicles.

Since February 2022, Denmark's military aid to Ukraine has amounted to approximately €7.2 billion, while civilian aid has been around €693 million.
