Arab countries should refrain from allowing their territories to be used by the US for potential strikes on Iran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said in an interview with Al Jazeera, according to Report.
Tehran hopes that Arab nations will not permit the United States to use their land for military action against Iran.
"We have very good relations with Arab countries. We are confident that those Arab nations hosting US bases will not allow their territories to be used for attacks against their Muslim neighbors," Baghaei said.
The diplomat warned that "any US intervention would be a recipe for full-scale war in the region."
Baghaei added that while Iran remains open to dialogue, it "no longer trusts" Washington. He also noted that Iran continues to maintain contact with other countries, including members of the UN Security Council.
