6.1 magnitude quake hits coast of Vanuatu

An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 has been recorded off the coast of Vanuatu, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, Report informs referring to TASS.
The epicenter was located 103 km northeast of the administrative center of Sanma province, the city of Luganville, which is home to 13,300 people. The outbreak lay at a depth of 10 km.
There were no reports of a tsunami threat.
