Today, 21% of entrepreneurs operating in the country are women entrepreneurs and their number is increasing every year, said Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), speaking at the public hearing themed "Women's entrepreneurship in legislation: opportunities and prospects" in the parliament, Report informs.
"The support packages offered to the entrepreneurs also apply to them," he said.
Mammadov noted that there are women entrepreneurs who are actively represented in the Public Council from the first day of the establishment of SMBDA: "We highly appreciate increasing the activity of women entrepreneurs in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions. Women entrepreneurs are interested in establishing businesses in these areas. To date, SMBDA has received 1,332 applications for establishing work and business in the liberated areas, with 70 coming from women entrepreneurs."
