Hulusi Akar: Preparing new defense concepts is important in globalizing world

Ensuring defense and security, and preparing new defense concepts, are important in the globalizing world, said Hulusi Akar, Chairman of the National Defense Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, at the second meeting of the chairmen of the defense and security committees of TURKPA member parliaments held in the National Assembly, Report informs.

Akar noted that economic challenges are always on the agenda as tensions in the region rise:

"Threats are not only military, but also economic and related to climate change. Therefore, it is necessary to get ahead of the problems. Of course, protecting national security depends on a strong army. Azerbaijan's Karabakh victory is proof of this and is a source of pride for the entire Turkic world. We must work together and use the power of artificial intelligence in this direction. It is important to form a common defense mechanism between the countries of the Turkic world."

Akar added that the recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will strengthen the cooperation and unity of the Turkic states.
