The first meeting of the secretaries-general of the parliament was held in Baku within the framework of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), Report informs.
The meeting focused on prospects of cooperation between heads of parliaments within the framework of TURKPA.
Chief of Staff of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament) Farid Hajiyev said holding the 13th meeting of TURKPA in Baku is taking place at a time when new realities are emerging in Azerbaijan: “After liberating its lands, Azerbaijan holds international events in liberated territories already. Plenary and commission meetings of TURKPA member states, events and results indicate that TURKPA occupies its rightful place in the modern international system. The main topic of the 13th plenary meeting was devoted to the discussion of ways to solve the problems that concern the modern world and humanity.”
Secretary General of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Talip Uzun, Head of the Office of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Alaybek Alimbaev, Head of the Office of the Low Chamber of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Renat Aytaev, Chief of Staff of the Senate of the Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan, Gudrat Nurullayev (joined online), also spoke in the meeting.
