Defense Ministry denies Armenian reports on Azerbaijan's shelling of Russian military facilities and equipment

The information spread by the Armenian side about the alleged firing by the units of the Azerbaijani Army at the military facility and vehicle of the Russian Armed Forces located in the Gegharkunik province is untrue, Report informs, referring to the Ministry of Defense.

"By spreading such information, the Armenian side aims to give the large-scale provocations it has committed on the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border an international image and to use the Collective Security Treaty Organization as a tool for its smeary deeds.

We once again state that the Azerbaijani Army only takes retaliatory measures against the legitimate military targets of the Armenian armed forces to prevent large-scale provocations," the ministry said.
