An article entitled "Finally, peace has come to Karabakh" published on the official portal of the Federation of Journalists of Peru highlighted the atrocities committed by Armenians on the territory of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Peru told Report.
The article mentions that the internationally recognized territories of Azerbaijan were under Armenian occupation for many years, Azerbaijanis faced ethnic cleansing, and consequently, more than one million Azerbaijanis became refugees and internally displaced persons.
“As a result of the Patriotic War started by Azerbaijan in 2020 in response to Armenia's new provocations, the Armenian armed forces were completely defeated and surrendered,” the article said.
Later, in the article, the author, together with other Latin American journalists, shared his impressions of their visit to the liberated lands of Azerbaijan, the traces of Armenian brutality they witnessed, the destruction and looting of cities and villages, monuments of cultural and historical heritage, cemeteries, desecration of religious temples, ecocide.
The author emphasizes that with such vandalism, Armenians tried to erase any memory of Azerbaijan in these lands.
The article also talks about the new realities that emerged after the victory of Azerbaijan, the measures taken by the country's leadership to implement large-scale restoration work in the liberated areas, and to ensure the return of Azerbaijanis who were expelled from their native lands.
The author notes that as a result of local anti-terrorist measures on September 19, the crushing blow inflicted by the Azerbaijan Army on the remnants of the Armenian armed forces illegally stationed on the territory of Azerbaijan, and the dissolution of the so-called criminal regime in Karabakh, the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan was fully restored.
The article mentions the importance of the call of the leadership of Azerbaijan on the Armenian residents of Karabakh to integrate into the multi-ethnic society of Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijan is taking all necessary steps to establish peace, security, stability and prosperity in the region,” the article said.
