Protest continues on Khankandi-Lachin road, activists call to protect environment

A protest rally against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan continues on the Khankandi-Lachin road passing near Shusha city.

According to Report’s employee from the scene, environmental activists and volunteers call on the world community to protect the environment, continue to chant slogans: “Azerbaijan is awake, it protects its mineral resources!”, “End environmental crimes!”, “Stop eco terror!”, “Protect nature!,” etc.

The protesters hold banners in Azerbaijani, Russian and English, singing patriotic songs.

The protesters do not interfere with the movement of vehicles for humanitarian purposes.

The protest rally on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in Karabakh has been going on for 26 days.
