Tokayev: Development of TITR project to create new opportunities for Eurasian markets

“The development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) will create new opportunities for Eurasian markets,” President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at a meeting with members of the CIS Heads of Government Council, Report informs, citing the Kazakh press.

“This topic is increasingly relevant. I believe that the CIS member states will work together to develop the existing potential by developing trade along the North-South route by providing access to Iran, the Persian Gulf, and India,” the head of state stressed.

He called for eliminating obstacles, preventing protectionism, creating favorable tariff conditions, and simplifying administrative procedures in the CIS space.

According to him, paying attention to developing economic and trade cooperation in the CIS space is necessary.
