Middle Corridor company may begin operations later this year

Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd., a joint venture between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia, may begin operations later this year, the head of the transport policy department of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, Fariz Aliyev, told Report.
He reminded that within the Silk Road forum held in Tbilisi last year, an agreement was signed on the creation of a joint company on a parity basis between Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Kazakhstan Railways JSC and Georgian Railways JSC.
Fariz Aliyev emphasized that the company will play the role of a single operator within the Middle Corridor with headquarters in Astana.
