Freight transportation via TRACECA grows by 30%

In January-November 2022, 46,968,500 tons were transported through the Azerbaijani section of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA), and the cargo turnover amounted to 11,590.9 million ton-kilometers, up 29.03% and 33.6%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.

For eleven months of 2022, 25,451,500 tons or 54.2% of cargo was transported by road, 15,388,900 tons or 32.8% was transported by rail, 6,128,100 tons or 13% by water transport.

The share of transit cargo transported along the corridor accounted for 26.8%, or 12,583,800 tons.
