The entertainment system has become unavailable on some Aeroflot aircraft due to the refusal of foreign suppliers to provide the service, Report informs referring to TASS.
“Connection to streaming entertainment systems will be temporarily unavailable on our A320/321 and B737 aircraft,” the message says. “The refusal of foreign suppliers to provide this service will soon not be an obstacle to the habitual viewing of interesting films and listening to favorite tracks during the flight. We are already working on a new domestic solution, which we will be glad to present to you by the New Year.”
Instead of using the company’s entertainment system, passengers were advised to ‘do a December in-flight digital detox,’ including reading a book or cleaning up the photos in their phone’s gallery.
The entertainment system on board Aeroflot is provided both in the traditional form - through a display mounted in the back of the front seat, and in streaming, when the passenger connects to the entertainment system via free WIFI from his phone or tablet. As a rule, long-haul aircraft are equipped with the traditional system, while only streaming is available on the Airbus A320/321 and Boeing 737.
