Industrial products worth nearly $21B were manifactured in 8 months in Baku

In January-August of 2024, the value of goods produced and services rendered in the industry in Baku city amounted to 35.4 billion manats ($20.82 billion), Report informs, citing the Baku City Statistical Office of the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.

This is 2.8 billion manats ($1.64 billion) or 7.3% less compared to the same period last year.

The share of the non-state sector in the industry was 82.5%. In the total volume of production, the share of industrial products was 90.1%, while the industrial services' share was 9.9%.

The majority of the manufactured products were sent to consumers, and considering the inventories created in previous periods, industrial enterprises had a ready-made product inventory worth 470.2 million manats ($276.6 million) in their storages as of September 1 of this year.
